SS Kentucky is a DDH Double Boat: our Boat DNA — Kolsch yeast, Atlantic Highlands mineral water, the lean fermentation profile that keeps big beers drinking clean — scaled up and double dry hopped for maximum aromatic punch. Centennial and Cascade lay down the classic American foundation. Amarillo brings the orange and tangerine. Pacific Jade runs the outside lane with lime zest and a quiet herbal note. Nugget holds the backbone honest at 80 IBU — this is not a beer hiding behind haze.

Then the smoked pineapple comes in, and everything shifts.

The smoke doesn’t take over — it knows its place. It sits just beneath the tropical, a warm background note that makes the fruit taste riper, brighter, more alive. Think less bonfire, more low heat on a cast iron pan — the kind of smoke that makes you lean in instead of step back. The pineapple stays forward.
